Why does this song give you courage?
"Here Comes the Sun" by George Harrison (her favorite Beatle). This song has followed me throughout my life, throughout good and bad. I see colors with music and it’s all encompassing. Music elevates my mood and always puts me above whatever is going on throughout my day. I add my love of music to my work and share its joy with my children and grandchildren.
What did you learn about Flo?
She is always so uplifting and always has a smile on her face. She has the same love and joy as a resident that she always had as a caregiver.
Florence (Flo) has lived at Villa Maria Manor for 2 years. Originally from New York City, she moved to Nashville after vacationing in Music City.
Why does this song give you courage?
Raised by her grandmother, who told her, "God will always be with you when I can't be," Flo cherishes her as her first ‘Angel’. She believes we are all angels to each other so appreciate each other daily. Flo lives generously and gratefully through the twisty turns her life has taken. She has seen “Angels Among Us” in her life and looks for ways to be an angel to others. She feels that, although she doesn't have family of her own, God has provided her with a family at Villa Maria Manor, where she finds blessings and values the importance of smiling. Flo has embraced her role as an angel to each of her neighbors.
