Why does this song give you courage?
It was my grandfather's favorite song and my father sang it to me when I was younger and it reminds me of the good days with my loving family. I want to honor them in all I do and making this song my Walk On Song helps me do that.
What did you learn about Betty?
Betty has led an impressive life and is very well-studied. I’ve enjoyed hearing about the wonderful things she shared with the teenagers she’s helped over the years. She also has an amazing relationship with her family, that not everyone has. Even after the passing of her daughter, her son in law still visits and helps care for her. It’s a joy to hear about her supportive and caring family.

Betty, originally from Alabama, graduated high school at 16 and holds 3 degrees: 2 Bachelor's and a Master's in Psychology. She spent her career as a school counselor and now resides at The Reserve at Spring Hill assisted living. Betty loves playing the piano and is very social within our community, making friends with everyone and enjoying her time socializing.
Why does this song give you courage? “Betty states, "If it wasn't for my faith, I wouldn't make it one day to the next.” My life has been full and I hope meaningful. But not always easy. This song keeps me rooted with what’s most important.
What did you learn about Nancy?
I have learned how helpful Nancy is to everyone around her, and I am grateful for her generosity. She is so busy but really takes time to be a friend and a careful employee in dietary with our many dietary requirements.
